We were greeted by a very kind and serviceminded gentleman who gave us a late check in even though we had not informed them in advance about late arrival. The sofa bed was not made, but the staff fixed this in minutes for us. It was 30 degrees and no AC, but I think they should have put in fans. There were curtains but no "block-out" curtains, so it was very bright in the morning, especially in the downstairs room where our daughter slept. One weird thing was that there were no sheets to lay on in the beds, only a sheet protection. I dont know if this was a mistake. Since it was late, we didnt bother the staff about this. Im sure they would have put in sheets if we asked. One thing we really appreciated was that the personel was kind enough to store our cooling clamps in their freezer during the night. The breakfast was good, but there was a tray that said "pancakes" on it that was empty the whole breakfast. Also, many small and irritating flies sat on the stuff in the breakfast. They should use a lid on everything. The cleaning in the rooms was ok, besides that there were many smacked and killed mosquitos on the wall that were whiped away. We would recommend this hotel which had amazing surroundings and nice staff!

Very beautiful and quiet spot with lake view. Everyone was super delighted with the fish ordered. Whether the special catch of the day, or the regular items on the menu - everything was delightful. Everything was perfectly cooked - allowed for the fresh taste of the fish to shine through. Dishes with sauces were also well complemented. The staff were all very sincere and friendly. We will be back. Update: Came back for lunch on weekend. The Caesar Salad with Shrimp and Octopus was just mediocre although nicely plated - both didn't seem fresh. Lacked fresh-crisp texture and rather soggy. But the Matjes was fresh and well prepared.

We went to this place for dinner with friends. The location directly at a lovely lake is very romantic and really awesome. The food is extraordinarily good and the prices are really ok. But - for good reason - one should reserve quite in advance in order to finding a place in the evening. Definitely recommended for dish meals.
